A personal reflection on divine timing, holding space and an evening I almost didn’t make it to.
On September 2, 2026, I was scheduled to offer tarot readings at a private members’ club in Toronto. The event was set to begin at 6 p.m., and I was preparing to leave when the weather changed so dramatically that my phone began screaming with repeated emergency weather alerts.
At 5:14 p.m., the alerts warned people in my area to move away from their windows. Winds of up to 110 km/h and hail the size of golf balls were expected.
The city had disappeared behind thick fog. My apartment was floating in scary clouds.
My Uber kept getting delayed. The app updated to show that my driver was still 19 minutes away.
I called the club to ask whether the event was being cancelled because of the weather. They told me that guests had already started arriving early. Some were waiting for their readings, and the event was going ahead.

I was scared to step out. But I’d made a commitment.
I felt responsible for honouring the effort they had made, despite my mind telling me, You should wait until it’s safe to leave.
I sat down, closed my eyes and asked the Universe for help:
“Please help me get to this event safely and make sure whoever needs a reading gets it through me today. Please, Universe, make it happen.”
I opened my eyes and a ridiculous smile spread across my face.
The rain had stopped and the fog had cleared. At almost the same moment, my Uber updated from 19 minutes away to three minutes away.
It was 5:22 p.m. I was going to make it on time if I left now.
One hundred and twenty seconds of quiet prayer, and I had a dramatically different before-and-after picture of the weather.

An evening that became deeply meaningful
When I arrived, people were already waiting. It had started pouring again.
I had originally been scheduled to offer readings from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. As the evening progressed, more guests kept arriving. When the scheduled end time arrived, there were still people waiting.
Many of them had travelled through the rain, wind and uncertainty of the storm to attend the event. The Universe had done its part and cleared the path for us to be there. I was going to do mine.
I continued until every person who had battled rain, wind and hail to get there had received a reading. I ended the final session at 10:35 p.m.
During those hours, I read for people I had never met before. Yet, when each person sat across from me, I felt an immediate connection with their energy and with the question they were carrying.
Some readings brought tears. Some ended with hugs. There were moments of recognition, relief and reassurance. The conversations were private, and the details will remain that way. What I can share is the warmth I felt in those exchanges.
On an event schedule, tarot may appear as one activity among many. At the table, every reading becomes a personal energy exchange between two people.
Someone sits down and entrusts you with a question that genuinely matters to them. It may concern their career, a relationship, a decision they are afraid to make or a part of their life that no longer feels certain.
Even during a short event reading, that trust deserves care.
What holding space means to me
The experience reminded me of the responsibility that comes with reading tarot for another person. People often come to the cards when they feel uncertain, overwhelmed or in need of reassurance.
For me, holding space means listening carefully, interpreting the cards without fear and sharing what I see with honesty and sensitivity. I want people to leave with greater clarity, a new perspective and more trust in themselves.
The gratitude I felt afterwards
By the time I finished the final reading, I was physically tired and emotionally full. A few minutes of quiet prayer had allowed me to reach an evening I had come so close to missing.
I thanked God and the Universe for allowing me to be helpful. I had spent the evening sitting with strangers, connecting with their energy and offering guidance when they needed it. Their tears, hugs and trust made the experience deeply gratifying.

Virtual tarot readings with the same care and attention
The connection I felt that evening can also exist across a screen. I offer private 1:1 tarot readings virtually for people in Toronto, across Canada, the United States and worldwide.
You can bring whatever is weighing on you. My intention is to offer grounded, non-fear-based guidance that helps you understand your situation without taking your power away.

I can only describe last evening as divine intervention. It left me feeling deeply grateful and more connected to my purpose of holding space and offering guidance to those who need it.
